Chennai Super Kings – Road to grasp a successive IPL title in 2011

Chennai Super Kings became the only team in the limited history of Indian Premier League to clinch the title consecutively in 2011, led by MS Dhoni.

The IPL was launched by the Board of Control for Cricket in India in 2008 and became one of the most favourite tournaments in the Twenty20 cricket all across the world. The event became so popular that most of the Bollywood film makers hesitated to launch their latest movies during the IPL matches. It has become a major source of income for the players across the globe as they receive huge amounts by taking part in the tournament.

The IPL 2011 consisted of 10 teams and 74 matches were played on the format of group stage and playoffs. The first match was played on April 8, 2011 and the final was played between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 28, 2011. We will highlight the performance of the Chennai Super Kings in the event keeping in view all matches played by them.

1st match vs. Kolkata Knight Riders
