The Pakistani squad under the inspiring leadership of Misbah-ul-Haq degraded the mighty West Indies at their home grounds with a huge margin of 3-1 in 5 ODIs.

The Green shirts landed in the Windies after their dismal performance in the recently concluded ICC Champions Trophy, 2013, held in England and won by India. Pakistan was placed in Group B and they found themselves at the bottom of the table after losing all three pool games vs. India, South Africa, and West Indies. Their batsmen surrendered against the bowlers of the three countries and ended up scoring 170, 167 and 165 against the Caribbeans, the Proteas and the Blue Shirts respectively. Misbah-ul-Haq was the only batsman who batted well by scoring 173 runs at an excellent average of 86.50, the best of unbeaten 96 with two fifties.

The Pakistani top order batsmen, except Misbah-ul-Haq, were unable to deliver in the first three One Day Internationals against the hosts, West Indies, but came back strongly in the last two games. The strong batting line up of the Caribbeans kept on struggling throughout the series except Marlon Samuels and Lendl Simmons who scored most of the runs. The Green Shirt bowlers bowled excellently and the home batsmen had no answer to their lethal bowling.
