Australia 204 (Brad Haddin 65, Chris Rogers 61, James Anderson 4-67) and 2-231 (Chris Rogers 116, Shane Watson 83*, Monty Panesar 1-41) beat England 255 (Kevin Pietersen 71, Michael Carberry 38, Mitchell Johnson 5-63) and 179 (Alastair Cook 51, Pietersen 49, Nathan Lyon 5-50) by eight wickets.
Chris Rogers blasted a ton as the dominant Australia continued with their winning spree against the visiting English side which lost the 4th Test consistently.
England surrendered in their first innings at 255 followed by 179 in the second while the Kangaroos were bowled out for 204 runs in the first and smashed 231 for the loss of just two wickets in the second innings.
Mitchell Johnson (Australia) was announced ‘Player of the match’ after he grabbed eight wickets in the game.

Earlier, the Aussies went into bat in the morning at 0-30 in 8 overs whereas Chris Rogers and David Warner were in the center for 18 and 12 runs. They took the score to 64 when the latter was gone for 25 and was replaced by Shane Watson. Rogers got his fifty in the 22nd over and his partner went on consolidating at the other end as lunch was taken at 1-143 after 35 overs.
Chris Rogers plundered his second Test hundred and Shane Watson completed his 22nd Test half century in the process. The association came to an end at 200 when Rogers was caught behind by Jonny Bairstow off Ben Stokes for 116. The Australian skipper, Michael Clarke, walked in next and attained his 8000 runs in Test cricket with a boundary. Watson hit the winning runs and remained unbeaten for 83, Clarke was at the other side at 6 as the hosts achieved the target by hammering 2-231 in 51.5 overs.
Australia grasped the fourth Test with a hefty margin of eight wickets and leads the five match series at 4-0.
