India was beaten badly 4-0 by England in 2011in the home series but their batsmen including Tendulkar, Gambhir and Kohli are anxious to pay back the visitors.

The lethal fast bowlers of England were almost unplayable by the solid batting line up of India at the bouncy wickets. The visitors were bowled out eight times in four Tests that resulted in humiliating defeats.

Virat Kohli made his Test debut against West Indies on June 20, 2011, at Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica and scored 4 and 15 runs as India won the match by 63 runs.

Kohli has played 10 Tests, scored 703 runs at a cracking average of 49.78 runs with 2 hundreds and 5 fifties.

It will be a maiden series for the youngster against England as has played Test cricket only against Australia, New Zealand and the West Indies.
