Asian Cricket Council Twenty20 Cup 2011/12 results – December 3

The Asian Cricket Council Twenty20 cup 2011/ 12 has commenced from December 3, 2011, inNepal, where eight teams are taking part in two groups.

We will highlight the matches played on the inaugural day and their results which are as follows.

Afghanistan vs. Malaysia

The match was played at Engineering Campus Ground, Lalitpur which was a neutral venue for both teams.Afghanistan’s Captain Nawroz Mangal won the toss and elected to bat first.

Batting – Afghanistan

166 for four wickets in 20 overs, Shabir Noori 53 runs, Karim Sadiq 39 runs, Asghar Stanikzai, unbeaten 24 runs and Mohammad Shahzad 20 runs.

Bowling – Malaysia

Nik Arifin three , Shahrulnizam Yusof, one wicket.

Batting – Malaysia

107 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs, Hammad ullah Khan 31 runs, Suhan Kumar 28 runs.

Bowling – Afghanistan

Mohammad Nabi, three,  Samiullah Shenwari, two, Hamid Hassan, Nasim Khan and Dawlat Zadran, one wicket each.

Result – Afghanistan won by 59 runs.

Nepal vs. Hong Kong

The match was held at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.

Batting – Hong Kong

114 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs, Irfan Ahmed 25 runs, Babar Hayat 20 runs.

Bowling – Nepal

Paras Khadhka,  Basanta Regmi and Mahaboob Alam two wickets each, Amrit Bhattarai and Rahul Vishvakarma, one wicket each.

Batting – Nepal

115 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs, Khadka 44 and Gyanendra Malla 19 runs.

Bowling – Hong Kong

Irfa ng Kongn Ahmed three , Aizaz Khan two, Munir Dar and Nadeem Ahmed one wicket each.

Result –Nepal won by two wickets

Bhutan vs. Oman

The match was played at Engineering Campus Ground, Lalitpur ( neutral venue)

Batting – Oman

186 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs, Vaibhav Wategaonkar 45, Zeeshan Siddiqui 31, Sultan Ahmed 23 and Rajeshkumar Ranpura 22 runs.

Bowling – Bhutan

Sonam Tobgay, three,  Thinley Jamtsho, two, Barun Wakhley and Phuntsho Wangdi, one wicket each.

Batting – Bhutan

62 runs all out in 13.4 overs, Dilip Subba and Kencho Norbu, 13 runs each.

Bowling – Oman

Hemal Mehta, three, Awal Khan and Zeeshan two wickets each, Ranpura and Al Said one wicket each.

Result –Oman won by 124 runs

Kuwait vs. United Arab Emirates

The match took place at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.

Batting – Kuwait

135 runs all out in 19.5 overs, Mohammad Murad 34, Mohammad Asghar 24 runs.

Bowling – United Arab Emirates

Khurram Khan, three, Irfan Ahmed and Ahmed Raza,  two wickets each, Ehsn Silva and Rohan Mustafa, one wicket each.

Batting – United Arab Emirates

138 runs for the loss of six wickets in 18.4 overs, Vikrant Shetty unbeaten 45 and Faizan Asif 44 runs.

Bowling – Kuwait

Mohammad Murad, three, Azmatullah Nazeer and Saud Qamar, one wicket each.

Result -United Arab Emirates won the match by four wickets.
